Type 511 features auxiliary lines with a 16 mm height to help children maintain the correct font size. New POSCA markers come with a dry tip. Before first use, shake the marker thoroughly with the cap tightly on (you will hear the metal ball inside). Then, remove the cap and repeatedly press the tip vertically down onto a scrap piece of paper until it fills with paint. If the marker begins to dry out during use, repeat the shaking and pressing process. POSCA markers are water-based, odorless, and cover almost any surface.

The most common reason for a fountain pen skipping is dried ink in the feed or nib. Unscrew the nib section and soak it in lukewarm water (ideally distilled, without soap or hot water) for a few hours or overnight. Then flush it under running water, dry gently with a paper towel, and insert a new cartridge. We recommend flushing your pen like this every 2-3 months for regular maintenance.

A school bag or backpack should have an anatomically shaped back panel and adjustable chest (and ideally hip) straps to help distribute the weight. The top of the backpack should not rise above the child's shoulders, and the bottom should sit at the lower back (hip level). The backpack must fit snugly against the back.
