Step into the world of BZ paper, a traditional family stationery shop. Explore our carefully selected assortment, from school satchels and premium pens to creative sets, toys and much more.
Family Tradition
Tradition since 1996. Our family business BZ paper started as a small shop in Ovenecká Street in Prague, founded with enthusiasm and determination by two relatives – plumber Tomáš Barták and electrician Milan Zámyslický. They bet on the quality of stationery assortment and the joy of personal contact with customers.
Gradual growth and overcoming obstacles. Gradually we expanded to Mnichovice, Petrovice, Žižkov and Říčany. Together we overcame all the difficult times, including the COVID-19 pandemic, mainly thanks to the loyalty of our customers, who appreciate personal care.
Personal approach and family values. Today we run the company together with our son, and you can meet our entire family at our stores. We still believe in the power of personal contact and honest advice over cheap, low-quality goods from impersonal e-shops. Your satisfaction is our commitment.

"I come to you from lower Holešovice, even though we have several stationery shops nearby. Why do I do it? Very pleasant service, you are always helpful with advice. You can also pay by card. Your prices are good, and most importantly? You can really find everything here, you just have to ask."
"Perfect service. A wide range of products. I have been shopping on Jirečkova street for several years and I must say I am very satisfied. I root for Czech entrepreneurs like this, for whom decent treatment and the willingness to solve a customer's needs matter."
"Our favorite stationery shop in Prague! Whatever you are looking for, they will help you here. If they happen not to have it, they will gladly order it for you. The staff are even better than the rich selection :) They are kind and helpful. Prices are surprisingly fair too. For many years now we have shopped only here :)"
"The best stationery shop in Letná. Great willingness to help and, for example, to order the goods you need. Also one of the few places where you can still have things printed from an email these days. Thank you for your work."
"An absolutely great place and service. If you are also equipping a first-grader for school, I recommend it thanks to the large selection and above all the willingness of the staff."
"Without a doubt the best stationery shop in Prague 7. Whether you are looking for anything or don't even know exactly what, they will help you solve the problem here. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and always find the right thing. We haven't gone anywhere else for many years."
"In my opinion the best stationery shop far and wide. It has never happened to me that they didn't have what I came for. From acrylic paints to a tear-off calendar. A bonus is that they are significantly cheaper than most of the competition in the area. And they take cards too!"
"An absolutely unrivaled stationery shop where you can find almost anything, and on top of that there is always a relaxed atmosphere. I definitely recommend it! 👍"
"A very well-stocked shop with really lovely staff. What they don't have on the spot, they will order by the next day. 🖍️🗒️✏️"
"Great attitude — they happily advised me on everything and helped me pick what I needed."
"A very pleasant stationery shop in Letná, which I also use because of the Zásilkovna pickup and drop-off point. I'm glad the staff are always helpful and friendly."
"The people who run it are simply true professionals. They understand, advise, find things. On top of that a parcel pickup point — they simply know how to get things done. So don't be afraid to ask: they will bring it or point you to where to find it."

Quick answers to your questions about our assortment and additional services.
We offer a complete range from school supplies, notebooks and backpacks to office supplies, binders and organizers. You will also find writing instruments from brands such as Centropen, Maped and Stabilo, as well as more luxurious ones like Schneider, Regal, Faber-Castell and Parker.
Yes, at almost all of our stores we provide fast black-and-white and color printing, copying, laminating, and ring binding of documents.
Our BZ paper stores can be found in three locations in Prague (Holešovice, Žižkov, Horní Měcholupy) and also in Říčany and Mnichovice. Opening hours vary, but as standard we are open on weekdays from 8:00 to 18:00 and at some stores also on Saturday mornings.
Yes, for corporate clients and institutions we offer individual substitute performance (náhradní plnění), wholesale prices and direct delivery of office supplies to your company. For online orders, please contact us by e-mail.
Sustainability is important to us. We offer recycled office papers, FSC-certified notebooks, and eco-friendly packaging materials. Our staff will gladly help you select green products.
For first graders, schools typically require specific notebook types, most commonly A5 format with auxiliary lines for writing (e.g., types 511, 512, or 513). Type 511 features auxiliary lines with a 16 mm height to help children maintain the correct font size. We always have all of these special school notebooks in stock, both at the start of the school year and during it.
For beginning school children, we recommend ergonomic pens that support a correct grip and reduce hand fatigue. The most popular options include the Stabilo EasyOriginal, Tornado Centropen, or classic cartridge ink fountain pens with ergonomic grip profiles. Children can test the pens in person at our stores, and our staff will gladly assist with the choice.
For offices and B2B partners, bulk purchases of copy paper (standard A4 80g), binders (lever arch files), archival boxes, quality gel pens, and basic organizers offer the best value. BZ paper provides corporate customers with volume discounts, custom price quotes, substitute performance (náhradní plnění) and direct delivery of goods to their offices.
New POSCA markers come with a dry tip. Before first use, shake the marker thoroughly with the cap tightly on (you will hear the metal ball inside). Then, remove the cap and repeatedly press the tip vertically down onto a scrap piece of paper until it fills with paint. If the marker begins to dry out during use, repeat the shaking and pressing process. POSCA markers are water-based, odorless, and cover almost any surface.
The most common reason for skipping is dried ink in the nib. Unscrew the nib section of the pen and soak it for a few hours (even overnight) in lukewarm water (do not use hot water or soap). Then rinse it under running water, dry it gently with a paper towel and insert a new cartridge. For regular maintenance, we recommend rinsing the pen like this every 2-3 months.
A school bag or backpack should have an anatomically shaped back panel and adjustable chest (and ideally hip) straps to help distribute the weight. The top of the backpack should not rise above the child's shoulders, and the bottom edge should end at hip level. The backpack must fit snugly against the back. At our branches, we will gladly help you try on and adjust the backpack exactly to the figure of your first grader or older schoolchild.
Yes, all of our branches act as official exchange points for SodaStream cylinders (both the older screw-on blue cylinders and the newer pink Quick Connect cylinders). Simply bring in your empty cylinder, and we will exchange it on the spot for a full, original SodaStream cylinder for only the price of the gas refill.
We have something special for you. Keep scrolling.
